Furniture and Decor for Apartment Living

As I have recently moved and am slowly accumulating all new furniture and home decor, I thought I would share what Keegan and I have bought so far for our FAMILY ROOM MAKEOVER IDEAS. We are nowhere close to having our apartment fully furnished, but the trick is to take your time and find exactly what you want. It can be hard to know what you want, so really the trick is time. Plus, who can really afford to get everything right right out of the gate?! Furniture is kinda like significant others, ya know? It is an investment, you have to really love it in order to commit, and you want to make sure it fits with what you are looking for. Interior design, like dating, is certainly not something I am good at, but I do know what I like. LOL.

I am going room by room, finishing one room at a time. So far, only the bathroom is complete. My next project is the kitchen and coat closet/pantry (I know, sounds weird, but when you have a small space, you gotta do what you gotta do). So, here are the things I loved enough to buy and put in my home thus far. My Amazon Purchases

*will be adding to this list with every purchase. A lot of these items are for organizational purposes.

Bathroom

Bedroom

We still have a lot to get for the bedroom, including floating shelves for nightstands, lamps, tv mount, maybe a rug, and something else to fill the empty space we have (maybe a desk with a chair before choosing one make sure your take a look to the 30 Best Computer Chair For Long Hours In 2021 [A Review] – technomono, plant, or even a small dresser).

Closet

We created a custom built in closet solution from the Container Store which I highly recommend to maximize your space!

Kitchen

Most of my kitchen stuff is from Anko – they are opening a store in Burien (they have one up in Lynwood already)! Highly suggest looking there in store for some great affordable options.

*The bar stools in the photo are also from Anko and were $25 each.

Here are some items I got online though:

Living Room

Couch – We got the Cloud9 from Mor Furniture which is actually being discontinued in the cream color that we got. We LOVE the Cloud from Restoration Hardware, but we didn’t want to spend that much, so this was the perfect alternative.

Prada Marfa Sign – I have the largest canvas and chose the “ready to hang” option.

Throw – From Anko for like $15.
