New York Fashion Week. The crazy, the hot, the tired, the insanely well dressed…how do I describe a week that seems so surreal? I am finally finding a pocket of time to sit down and get this first look up just in time before my next trip which I am leaving for today. Yes, I just got home from NY late last night.
Day one of fashion week was a madhouse. It started with avocado toast (like every other day there) and matcha from Cha Cha Matcha which proceeded the Michael Costello show, Desigual show, Fashion Palette shows, meeting my inspiration @peaceloveshea, and attending the Nylon party follow by its after party. If you think that is a mouth full, try getting it all done in one day with eating, getting from place to place, outfit changes, and finding time to breathe.
For my first outfit I wanted to start off with something that made a statement. Taking this Alexander Wang denim skirt (which now happens to be 30% off) and pairing it will feminine pieces gave my look a soft edge; something I am typically not a fan of. Usually, I like to be on the edgier side of things, but fashion week is about experimenting and being different in your outfit choices so I decided to go in a new direction. This outfit is the definition of high-low mixology. The A Wang skirt and the Valentino Rockstud bag (get here for only $290/month) get the award for highest quality but mixed with very affordable Windsor and A’gaci pieces make this look doable for any budget. You can shop my entire look below.
I can’t wait to be back with more looks from NYFW. Make sure to stay tuned!
Thank you to Zach Chase from Runway Manhattan for some of these photos!
