Maui with the Fairmont

Every year around this time I begin to desperately need a vacation; a time to relax, rejuvenate, and soak in life instead of running with it. Year after year I have always retreated to Maui, and I guess I don’t like change because I once again returned to my favorite piece of the island,

the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea.

Coming to Maui and staying anywhere else just wouldn’t be the same. The thing about hotel rooms is that usually they are so small, here at the Kea Lani,

all of the rooms are suites with very spacious granite bathrooms and living rooms.

My Garden Suite overlooked the gorgeous abundant garden with views of the ocean just beyond-nothing could beat that view.

The pools were the perfect place for soaking up the sun and it’s only a quick swim away from the swim up bar-how convenient.

My favorite part of the whole resort however is the private beach just past the villas. To even try and explain the beauty of the sunsets at night down on the beach would be impossible. I would go down every night and take everything in. It’s such a surreal place to be in; it will forever be my getaway go-to on Maui.
