Short shorts are dangerous. The amount of times I’ve seen girls abuse them is astronomical, and I can’t lie, even I have had some “oh Lord help her” moments when it comes to short shorts. If you have been there or if you have ever been walking down the street and suddenly felt a gentle breeze in a place that there should be no gentle breeze, don’t fear! There are a few things you can do to class up your look when wearing short shorts, since they are basically the summer go to and we can’t just get rid of them. One thing is having a good balance of skin. Since you are showing a lot of leg opt for a longer sleeve shirt like this men’s style button down that I’m wearing, or a high neck tank or tee. A looser fit in the top also helps this balance. Another tip is to buy shorts that actually fit. I have the hardest time with this since I’m bottom heavy meaning I have to buy shorts that are big enough for my legs and butt, but also have to fit my waste…I haven’t found them yet. So, belts are my best friend, plus they add another dimension to your outfit so I’m not complaining too much. These Levi shorts from Aritzia that I’m wearing are my all time favorite. They fit a little looser which I find to be the most flattering. Lastly, shoes can be tricky. Some girls like to wear heels or heeled boots with their shorts, but be careful because that could send you down a sketchy road…if you know what I’m sayin’. I usually just go for a comfortable flat, tennis shoe, or sandal. I promise, somethings just don’t look as good as you may think they do.
